Leisure and Fun in 'Genova'

Leisure Program 2010

WHAT TO EXPECT?

Your experience of Genoa with its culture and language is our top priority. We will guide you through the city, show you Genoa and be your personal guide. We will take you to some of the most beautiful palaces, the quaint little hidden alleys, museums, squares, churches and festivals. We will invite you to dinners, aperitivo's and city trips. This way you will get acquainted with beautiful Genoa, the people and fellow students from all over the world, that share your love for the Italian language and Italy.

STANDARD ACTIVITIES Students having diner with teachers

During the week the school organises several social activities. These include going to bars to experience a typical Italian 'aperitivo', or having a nice dinner to taste 'trofie al pesto', a typical Genovese dish. Furthermore, we organise trips to neighbouring villages, wine tastings, visiting festivals and city walks. Every second weekend we generally plan an activity that you are free to attend. This could be a boat trip to surrounding villages (Portofino, Cinque Terre, Camogli), hiking in nature, a visit to the biggest European aquarium or just a nice trip to the local beach to get work on your tan and swim in the Mediterranean Sea.

Of course these trips are not compulsory and will be organised based on your interests and those of your fellow students, selected on your application form and depending on the time of year and the weather conditions. If you want to take a closer look to what we have planned for 2010, please click here to see the leisure program for 2010! From March until September/ October, we will organise every second week a guided citywalk for the new students to get familiar with the old city center. Besides that we will occasionally offer you seminars free of charge. This could be a seminar on 'the history of Italian Mafia', 'Italian stereotypes in movies' or something else.
